Mr Tyler Hamilton

加拿大 MaRS Discovery District,

个人简介：

Tyler Hamilton oversees domestic and international partnerships in support of MaRS cleantech ventures, with particular emphasis on establishing soft-landing opportunities in markets outside of Canada. Mr. Hamilton is a published author and former business journalist specializing in cleantech, having spent more than a decade writing for Canada’s largest daily newspaper. Previous to joining MaRS, he was editor-in-chief of Corporate Knights, one of largest mass-circulation magazines that examine the intersection of sustainability and business. He is also an adjunct professor of environmental studies at Toronto’s York University, where he teaches a graduate-level course on cleantech entrepreneurship.

Mr Adrien Cote

个人简介：

Adrien is the Business Advisor for science-based startups at Velocity and is passionate about moving technology from the lab towards commercial success. He supports teams with his skills in product development and market fit, strategic planning and alliances, and IP.

For 10 years, Adrien was a technology portfolio manager at the Xerox Research Centre of Canada, where he managed a number of R&D partnerships and oversaw technology creation, development, and commercialization projects. Prior to Xerox, he was a principal investigator at the California NanoSystems Institute at UCLA developing carbon capture and hydrogen storage materials. He began his academic career at the University of Waterloo, receiving a B.Sc. in Applied Chemistry, and went on to complete a Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry at the University of Calgary, and a Postdoc at the University of Michigan. Adrien has 25 research publications, include papers in Science and Nature, holds 46 patents, and possesses an Executive Master’s in Technology Management program from the Lazaridis School of Business and Economics.

Mr Patric Stafshede

个人简介：

Mr. Stafshede is an internationally experienced leader with a career in both Fortune 500 companies and start-ups. He has an MSc in Chemical Engineering from Chalmers, Sweden, and an MBA in Finance from Tulane University, USA.

In 1994 Stafshede moved to Moscow, Russia to develop chemical supplier networks for Alfa Laval Agri (a division of Tetra Pak). 1996 he returned to Sweden and started working for McKinsey and Co in Sweden and Los Angeles as a consultant in telecom and pulp and paper. 1999 he started to work in strategic development for the electric utility Entergy Corp (NYSE:ETR) in New Orleans, USA, where he moved to asset management and later commercial operations in Houston, responsible for all solid fossil fuels.

2008 the family moved back to Sweden and Mr. Stafshede started to work with investments in start-ups from the regional universities around Umea, as the CEO for a regional investment vehicle.

Mr Stafshede has worked with LunaLEC since 2012, and is well-known in the printed electronics industry and has been speaking at LOPE-C, the organic electronics conference in Munich.

Mr Harvey Shi

Harvey is the founder and CEO of FlexCap Energy, leading both the R&D and business development efforts. Harvey has a bachelor degree from Engineering Science and a master degree from Mechanical Engineering at the University of Toronto, and he is also currently pursuing Ph.D. with a focus on advanced manufacturing technologies for thin-film energy storage devices. He has proven track-record with start-ups and NGOs prior to founding FlexCap, with successful projects ranging from smart shopping solution to greywater recycling system. With in-depth technical engineering skillset, coined with both industrial and academia experience, Harvey holds a key belief in changing the way people sees energy storage devices, specifically those used in wearable electronics.

Mr Andrew Martinko

Andrew started Suncayr more than three years ago, and leads business development, sales, and fundraising. Andrew graduated from the Nanotechnology Engineering program and the Master’s of Business, Entrepreneurship, and Technology program at the University of Waterloo, Canada, a renowned institution for both engineering and entrepreneurship.

Mr Matthew Thomas Lavrisa

Matt is the CTO and cofounder of Halion Displays. He has industry experience working on polymer science, battery technology, and specialized electronic devices – including a new display technology. During his time in the Nanotechnology Engineering program at the University of Waterloo, Matt cofounded and led a team of over 50 students to develop new cancer treatment methods, and was part of a 4 person design team that built a novel colour changing plasmonic material incorporating liquid crystals.

Mr Hadi Hosseinzadeh Khaligh

Dr. Hadi Hosseinzadeh Khaligh is the founder and CEO of NanoCnet, He received his PhD in Nanotechnology from University of Waterloo in 2016. Hadi has spent last decade on studying electronic nanomaterials. Hadi founded NanoCnet to develop a new generation of nanomaterials for low cost flexible transparent conductors for electronic device applications.
